In 2019 the Born Again Labor Museum and Locust Review issued the first Irrealist Worker Survey to our comrade-readers. We published your answers in Locust Review #2 in 2020. As we wrote in the introduction to the first survey:

“In our quixotic attempt to map, explore, and preserve the gravediggers’ multiverse, the Born Again Labor Museum has created this Irrealist Worker Survey. More surveys with be forthcoming. If you want attribution in any future exhibitions or educational material, please fill out your name in the fields at the bottom of the survey. If you wish to remain anonymous, given the dictatorial power of employers, as well as state repression, we understand that as well. You could also give yourself a nom de plume (or nom de guerre). If you don’t already have one, coming up with one might be fun. All survey fields are optional. Fill out as much or as little as you like.”

Your responses to the first Irrealist Worker Survey were, of course, brilliant. Take, for example, Beatrix Morel’s answer to the question, “Do you dream of the end of the world?”: “Most souls automatically find themselves in heaven, which turns out to be a multidimensional holy battery created to boost god’s power. Only those who specifically made pacts with demons end up in hell, which isn’t so much a place of punishment as it is just some other god’s soul battery. The Queers build cozy enclaves with warm hearths in the perpetual rain of limbo.”

We are now issuing the second Irrealist Worker Survey (see below) and will publish selected responses in the forthcoming Locust Review #4 (coming early in 2021). We eagerly look forward to your responses! And please share the survey widely with your friends, comrades, neighbors, and families. It is up to all of us to build the gravediggers’ multiverse!
